DHL Express currently has an opening for an Sr. Manager, Industrial Engineer in Erlanger, Kentucky CVG Hub. This position plays a key role in optimizing operational efficiency by strategically planning the utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel. The Sr. Manager, Industrial Engineer establishes work measurement programs and conducts analysis on work samples to set benchmarks for labor utilization. Additionally, they may contribute to budgeting and forecasting initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Forecasting Needs: Anticipate and plan for facility, vehicle, staffing, and material handling equipment requirements to enhance cost-efficiency, utilization, service, and operational efficiencies.

× Strategic Development: Create and oversee long-term research and development plans aligned with corporate strategic goals.

× Process Optimization: Conduct studies to identify the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, analyzing operational costs, process flow charts, and schedules.

× Resource Utilization: Recommend strategies to maximize the use of facilities and personnel by restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflows, relocating workstations and equipment, and purchasing equipment in compliance with governmental, health, safety, and other regulations.

× Cost Estimation: Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluate cost factors, recommending changes as necessary.

× System Coordination: Collaborate with airlines, hubs, and ground networks to optimize service costs through routing system changes.

× Monitoring and Evaluation: Oversee and assess departmental reporting systems and track progress in managing service and cost.

× Project Management: Assume project management responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • BS/BA in any engineering discipline and 7-10 years of increasingly diverse or complex applications in field of expertise or MS/MA and generally at least 5-7 years of experience in related field preferred.
  • Leadership and Presentation Skills
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python
  • Serves as prime consultant and change management on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities and long-range goals and objectives.
  • Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and implementing projects
