Job Purpose:

Implement best local and sub-regional category-specific strategies for Corporate & Protective Wear in Germany and Europe. Work with divisional colleagues to develop appropriate functional fabrics and garments to support their daily operations.

Collaborate closely with local procurement teams to identify, recommend, and manage best-in-class suppliers, and maintain effective supplier relationships. Prepare and support supplier negotiations at local level.

Your tasks:

  • Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, including supply market research and intelligence to support investment decisions, budgeting, and the establishment of local and regional framework agreements. Identify strategic sourcing opportunities and support the development and management of strategic suppliers.
  • Integrate procurement services at regional and country level for assigned business divisions, ensuring alignment with stakeholder requirements and delivery of value, quality, price, and service expectations.
  • Specialise in strategic sourcing for Corporate & Protective Wear, including related logistics solutions, to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliable supply for the business.
  • Support the identification and selection of suitable suppliers for innovative Corporate & Protective Wear solutions, ensuring compliance with applicable EU standards and regulations.
  • Support supplier risk assessments and evaluate suppliers against sustainability KPIs, including implementation and monitoring of relevant certifications (e.g. EcoVadis, Made in Green).
  • Contribute to the development of circular textile solutions within the category.
  • Manage complex contracts and support the development and implementation of new contract structures where required.
  • Develop a strong understanding of regional business needs, as well as market trends and developments within the Corporate & Protective Wear category.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Textile Technology, Textile Engineering
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in procurement, sourcing, category management, or a related area, ideally within textiles, apparel, or workwear
  • Fluent in German and English (full professional proficiency required)
  • Experience in supplier management and supporting sourcing or negotiation activities
  • Understanding of sustainability requirements and relevant certifications (e.g. EcoVadis, Made in Green) is an advantage
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with the ability to work in a matrix organisation
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for supplier visits and team meetings in Bonn.
