Role Purpose:
Are you passionate about shaping the future of data governance and driving impactful change in a global organization? As a Senior Business Analyst (Data Governance) at DHL Express, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring high-quality, reliable, and well-managed data that fuels business success.
In this role, you’ll lead key initiatives to enhance data governance frameworks, ensuring consistency, integrity, and compliance across our global operations. Working cross-functionally, you’ll analyze business requirements, design effective data solutions, and drive the adoption of best practices that improve data quality and streamline processes.
Your expertise will contribute to reducing data debt, simplifying legacy data flows, and enabling smarter decision-making. By bridging the gap between technology, governance, and business needs, you’ll help shape the future of data management at DHL Express. How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Drive close liaison and coordination with the Express functions (Customs & Regulatory Affairs, Customs Operations, BPO, COG, Commercial, etc.) when defining the requirements and business solutions.
- Make recommendations to process owners and project managers and the different approval bodies (Investment Committees, Project Boards, Functional heads…).
- Document & detail findings on a regular basis with the relevant content board and support with recommendations.
- Drive and coordinate cross-functional change initiatives, ensuring impacts are understood, communicated and successfully implemented across regions.
- Lead functional teams in understanding new and amended business solutions.
- Provide expertise in specific areas of the business that have particular cross-functional relevance.
- Deliver clearly articulated business requirements to architects and designers and ensure understanding.
- Drive issue resolution with subject matter experts.
- Analyze complex business data using Power BI & Snowflake to identify trends and insights.
- Build interactive dashboards and reports to communicate KPIs effectively.
- Work closely with IT & cross-functional teams to integrate and optimize data solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy & quality assurance across all reports.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions and document key processes.
- Act as a subject matter expert on Power BI & Snowflake, supporting the Data Quality & Governance team.
- Manage projects and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
Do you have what it takes?
- Min 5 years in Business Analysis or a similar role, with a strong focus on data visualization & analytics.
- Expertise in Power BI and best practices for visualization.
- Proficiency in Snowflake, including data modeling & integration.
- Strong skills in SQL, Python, or other programming languages (a plus).
- Demonstrated capability to operate in a global, multicultural environment, influencing cross-functional stakeholders and articulating insights clearly to senior decision makers.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across regions.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft PL300, SnowPro and PMP/PRINCE2) are a plus.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., First Choice) preferred.
