ABOUT THE ROLE :

Ensure the safe and efficient loading and off-loading of aircrafts and trucks at the Gateway (CAS-GTW) in compliance with DHL operational procedures, safety regulations and quality standards, following the instructions of the Team Leader or Supervisor.


YOUR TASKS :

  • Ensure that all ramp and ground handling equipment is functionally tested before operations start.
  • Operate ramp machinery and equipment safely and responsibly.
  • Ensure correct handling, storage and post-operation checks of ramp equipment.
  • Perform loading and unloading of aircrafts, ULDs and trucks according to operational instructions.
  • Support operational activities where labor is required, including cleaning and housekeeping (5S).
  • Maintain the work area clean, tidy and safe at all times.
  • Report immediately any damage, defect, incident or operational error to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Ensure full compliance with operational processes and DHL-specific safety and security regulations.
  • Be familiar with the work area, including the location of first aid kits and fire-fighting equipment.
  • Actively contribute to a safe working environment by identifying hazards and reporting near-miss events.

YOUR PROFILE :

*Team-oriented, dedicated, responsible and able to work independently.
Quality-conscious with a strong safety mindset.
Basic knowledge of computers and relevant operational systems is an advantage.
Knowledge of the logistics or aviation industry is an asset.
Ability to speak, understand and read French.
Ability to speak, understand and read English is an advantage.
Valid driving license category B.

Training required or to be completed:
Introductory legal mandatory training including DG Category 8 and Security.
Code of Practice, Code of Conduct and Information Security Awareness.
