Job Purpose:
In this position, you will drive the IT Consulting and Hyperscaler procurement projects across EMEA and globally, managing relationships with major cloud providers and global consulting firms. You will work closely with local and global procurement teams to identify and onboard top suppliers, ensuring strong relationships are maintained. Your role will also involve preparing and leading supplier negotiations at the regional and global level, requiring excellent stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across various business units.
Your tasks:
- Execute the IT Consulting and Hyperscaler category strategy, translating global and regional directives into sourcing actions and supplier engagements
- Lead complex negotiations with hyperscalers and tier-1 consulting firms, structuring cloud consumption agreements, enterprise discount programs, and consulting rate cards
- Manage end-to-end sourcing events for IT consulting engagements, including RFx processes, commercial evaluation, and contract award across delivery models (T&M, fixed-price, outcome-based)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers, serving as the primary commercial interface and ensuring alignment between supplier capabilities and business requirements
- Partner closely with IT, Finance, and business stakeholders to understand demand, challenge specifications where appropriate, and identify value optimization opportunities
- Conduct supply market analysis for cloud services and consulting landscapes, monitoring hyperscaler pricing changes, new service offerings, and competitive positioning
- Manage contract lifecycle activities including renewals, amendments, and consumption tracking; flag risks and opportunities tied to committed spend thresholds
- Prepare negotiation strategies, business cases, and executive briefings that enable leadership decision-making on high-value agreements
- Drive savings delivery and value realisation against annual targets, maintaining rigorous tracking and reporting
- Navigate prolonged negotiation cycles and competing stakeholder interests with persistence and composure, escalating strategically when needed
Your profile:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience/qualification
- Over 6 years of relevant experience in procurement or vendor management, ideally in IT procurement
- Strong understanding of procurement practices and procedures, with category-specific expertise
- Excellent stakeholder management and project management skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical thinking skills to support data-driven decision-making
- Fluent in English and German
