We are looking for a Senior Director ACS China based in Shanghai, China.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- General management role for ACS China responsible for P&L results with revenue in excess of €250m
- Develops business strategies & operating plans for the region, approved by Global SVP Aviation Commercial
- Directs area/country/region objectives to ensure annual revenue, cost, and profit targets are met.
- Drives selling strategies & activities of direct and contract sales teams
- Establish & manage regional Operations, Customer service, and Capacity plans in conjunction with Global ACS and Express GSOP
- Manages regional ACS Financials – billing, credit, operating expenses – in conjunction with Regional & Global Aviation CFO’s
- Manages staffing, employee development, org structure for a combined 18 direct / indirect heads
- Analyzes revenue, operations, service delivery, and cost results and develops corrective plans to address shortfalls
- Deliver ACS China P&L / contribution objectives
- Achieve revenue plan through direction of sales, distribution, product, and pricing plans
- Achieve cost objectives through management of internal and external cost drivers
- Achieve financial metrics including cash flow improvement (DSO), bad debt, and credit
- Negotiate operating processes and procedures with DHLE Hubs, Gateways, & Service Centers
- Measure service delivery and implement corrective actions with DHLE & 3rd party vendors to improve quality
- Ensure ACS regulatory compliance
- Improve cargo density through initiatives coordinated through service providers
- Improve capacity utilization through effective capacity management programs
- Select, manage, and monitor service delivery of the 3rd party handlers and ground providers
- Manage headcount efficiencies through effective recruitment, training, motivation, and workplace development
- Achieve customer satisfaction goals
- Achieve and exceed ACS service level targets
- Increase customer satisfaction by providing excellent service delivery, and providing timely and accurate responses to customer service inquiries.
- Creating simple, fast, and efficient customer booking processes that enhance customer satisfaction
- Improving service levels using First Choice methodology to identify and correct problems
- Lead the development of a capacity utilization and Revenue management forums ensuring the highest profile is maintained
- Interact with internal stakeholders & General Sales Agents (GSA's) to ensure highest confidence levels and performance
Do you have what it takes?
- Educated at the University Level.
- Expertise in all system query tools and reporting packages.
- Wide experience of the DHL network and operating procedures
- 12+ Years varied management experience in an international environment with at least 5 years director level or greater experience in global express and / or freight forwarding business
- Performance Improvement expertise (1st Choice, LEAN, Six Sigma)
- Specific experience of working within the DHL flown Network is a must.
