Overall Job Purpose
We are seeking a dedicated Customs and Trade Compliance Professional to join our team. In this role, you will ensure seamless customs and trade compliance by meeting all necessary requirements. You will empower our team to facilitate the timely and accurate clearance of cargo, while providing guidance on documentation needs for both the business and its customers.
This position may focus on ocean freight imports.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that import documentation is processed accurately and completely.
- Inform internal and external stakeholders about any documentation issues.
- Address and assist with customer inquiries related to customs and trade compliance.
- Help with the valuation and classification of customer shipments.
- Prepare import declarations for submission by Customs Brokers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of documents:
- Ensure data is accurate and timely.
- Support the business in achieving metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Conduct all activities in accordance with relevant trade compliance legislation.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and management to achieve our Group objectives.
