DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking an IT Solutions Manager – Transport. You will act as the subject matter expert in the capabilities of the strategic Transport Management System (TMS) solutions (including OTM, Ortec and Microlise) and work using the associated templates that will drive standardisation of the Transport operational processes within UK&I.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing ongoing business support and development and be a key part of TMS implementation projects.
  • Evaluation and design of templated functionality supporting the uptake of the solution across the UK&I business in a standardised manner.
  • Creating Solution Designs in support of business priorities and managing the Solution Design process through to Implementation.
  • To work closely with the operational SMEs to extract business requirements.
  • Efficiently and effectively document systems requirements to meet the business requirements.
  • To fully understand the modular capabilities of the TMS solution and the overlaying operational Templates
  • Govern the documentation process and ensure operational understanding and acceptance of the solution.
  • Building effective relationship with the business operational owners and Act as a SME on the TMS solution and mentor systems users

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Strong understanding of Transport supply chain operations with the ability to work across the regional operational business units.
  • Proven ability to work with complex technical IT solutions within logistics
  • Experience of the Oracle Transport Management (OTM) product is essential.
  • Good Knowledge of complementary Transport Optimisation and execution products such as Paragon, Quintiq, Ortec and Microlise.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Requirements capture, user story development, process mapping etc).
  • In-depth experience in solution configuration and SQL
