| Position Overview: |
The Assistant Manager – Sales Programs will be responsible for driving sales productivity, sales force effectiveness, sales analytics, and capability development initiatives across the organization. The role will focus on leveraging data, technology, automation, and best practices to enhance sales performance, strengthen sales processes, and enable field teams to achieve business objectives.
The incumbent will work closely with Sales Leadership, Regional Sales Teams, Channel Partners, IT, Learning & Development, and other cross-functional stakeholders to implement sales performance improvement programs, drive adoption of sales force automation tools, and build a high-performance sales culture.

To enhance sales productivity, effectiveness, and capability through data-driven insights, sales process optimization, technology adoption, automation, and sales force enablement initiatives, thereby improving sales performance, customer acquisition, and revenue growth.
| Key Roles & Responsibilities: |
Sales Productivity Enhancement
• Leverage sales analytics and performance data to identify opportunities for improving sales effectiveness across various levels of the sales organization.
• Develop and implement methodologies, frameworks, and processes to enhance productivity and drive superior sales outcomes.
• Generate and disseminate business performance reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards for sales teams, leadership, and key stakeholders.
• Support proactive decision-making through timely reporting and actionable insights.
• Drive automation of periodic sales performance reports and analytics through technology-enabled solutions.
• Engage with sales teams, channel partners, and other stakeholders to gather market intelligence, understand industry trends, and assess field-level challenges and opportunities.
• Benchmark industry best practices and identify organizational gaps to develop and institutionalize standardized sales processes and operating models.
• Evaluate and implement AI-driven solutions to improve sales productivity, forecasting accuracy, customer engagement, and sales effectiveness..
Sales Force Automation (SFA)
• Analyze existing sales processes, workflows, and business requirements across sales verticals to identify automation opportunities.
• Support the design, implementation, and enhancement of Sales Force Automation (SFA) platforms and performance management tools.
• Drive adoption and effective utilization of SFA tools across the sales organization.
• Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), user guides, and governance frameworks for sales systems and tools.
• Conduct user training sessions and enable teams to maximize value from SFA platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and technology partners to implement AI-enabled capabilities within SFA applications.
• Monitor system usage, adoption metrics, and process compliance, and recommend continuous improvements..
Sales Force Enablement & Capability Building
• Drive initiatives focused on building a high-performance sales culture and continuous learning environment.
• Design and implement capability-building programs for sales teams based on identified competency gaps.
• Support development and delivery of training programs covering products, sales methodologies, customer engagement, negotiation skills, and sales management.
• Facilitate behavioral change initiatives aimed at improving sales execution and performance management practices.
• Partner with Learning & Development teams to create structured learning journeys for different sales roles.
• Monitor effectiveness of training interventions through performance tracking and feedback mechanisms.
• Promote best practices and knowledge-sharing across sales teams to improve overall capability and effectiveness.
Analytics, Reporting & Governance
• Develop dashboards, MIS reports, and performance tracking mechanisms to provide visibility into sales effectiveness and productivity.
• Analyze sales performance trends, pipeline health, productivity metrics, and program effectiveness.
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of sales performance data.
• Support governance reviews and leadership presentations through meaningful analytics and insights.
• Drive data quality, reporting discipline, and process compliance across the sales organization..
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Sales Leadership, IT, Marketing, Learning & Development, Commercial, and Business teams to execute sales transformation initiatives.
• Support implementation of strategic sales programs and continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure alignment between sales processes, technology platforms, training interventions, and business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between field sales teams and support functions to ensure effective program execution and issue resolution.
| Qualifications & Experience: |
Education:
• Graduate in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, or related discipline preferred.
• MBA or Postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Analytics, or related field will be an added advantage.
Experience:
• 4–6 years of experience in Sales Excellence, Sales Operations, Sales Analytics, Sales Enablement, Commercial Effectiveness, or related functions.
• Experience in sales performance management, KPI reporting, sales productivity improvement, and sales process optimization.
• Exposure to CRM/SFA platforms, business intelligence tools, and sales analytics.
• Experience in logistics, express distribution, eCommerce, FMCG, B2B sales, or related industries preferred..
