Job Duties:

  1. Business Development & Market Expansion
  • Lead the overall business development strategy and execution for Industrial Projects across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • Identify, assess, and pursue new business opportunities, with a strong focus on market penetration and expansion in target sectors.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor positioning, and customer needs to develop actionable growth strategies.
  1. Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong strategic relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
  • Drive long-term partnerships by understanding customer business objectives and aligning solutions to meet their needs.
  • Act as the senior point of contact for key accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth.
  • Manage and resolve customer escalations effectively, ensuring service recovery and long-term trust.
  1. Sales Pipeline & Revenue Growth
  • Lead pipeline development by identifying, qualifying, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue streams.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed business targets.
  • Monitor pipeline performance, forecasting accuracy, and conversion rates to ensure consistent business growth.
  1. Commercial & Contract Management
  • Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing strategies, contract terms, and risk management.
  • Structure competitive and profitable solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee end-to-end contract management, ensuring compliance and effective execution.
  1. Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration
  • Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to align on project opportunities, strategies, and execution plans.
  • Work in close partnership with Industrial Projects (IP) DHL network offices to leverage global capabilities and expertise.
  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and solution design teams to deliver integrated logistics solutions.
  1. Project & Solution Leadership
  • Oversee the development and delivery of complex logistics solutions, including Out-of-Gauge (OOG), breakbulk, charter, and multimodal transport.
  • Ensure solutions are innovative, cost-effective, and aligned with customer requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project delivery efficiency, productivity, and service quality.
  1. Team Leadership & Capability Building
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Industrial Projects Business Development teams in Malaysia and Singapore.
  • Build a high-performance, results-driven culture with strong commercial acumen.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and performance.
  1. Innovation & Service Development
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new service offerings and value-added solutions tailored to market needs.
  • Drive innovation initiatives to enhance customer experience and differentiate the business in the market.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, with strong exposure to industrial projects logistics.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale, complex logistics solutions (e.g., OOG, breakbulk, chartering, multimodal transport).
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in sales, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Experience handling MNC accounts and working within a matrix organization.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong network and market knowledge in Singapore & Malaysia logistics and industrial sectors.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to manage customer escalations and deliver solutions under pressure.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
