The Program Manager, Risk & Claims Cost Management owns the DHL Express program to reduce Total Cost of Risk (TCOR) by improving claims outcomes and cycle times across Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, Property Damage, and General Liability claims. This role leads cross-functional initiatives that accelerate First Notice of Loss, optimize Return-to-Work programs, improve litigation outcomes, and drive analytics-based decision making. This role can be located within an EXP US location within the United States
Key Accountabilities:
• Build and execute a multi-year Claims Cost Reduction Roadmap.
• Lead a cross-functional Claims Governance Council.
• Develop and maintain a DHL Express Claims Playbook.
• Improve Workers’ Compensation processes, RTW programs, and claim closure velocity.
• Standardize Auto Liability response, recovery, and litigation strategies.
• Implement Property and General Liability claims management protocols.
• Own analytics dashboards, executive reporting, and KPI tracking.
• Drive Total Cost of Risk reduction targets and financial stewardship.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, audits, training, and adoption of best practices.
Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7 years managing multi-line claims programs in a complex, multi-state environment.
• Experience with carriers, TPAs, or corporate risk management preferred.
• Union environment experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success reducing claims costs and cycle times.
• Strong knowledge of RTW/ADA/LOA, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, and litigation management.
• Proven project and portfolio management experience.
• Proficiency in RMIS, Power BI, Tableau, and advanced Excel.
• Experience managing TPAs, legal counsel, vendors, SLAs, and RFPs.
