DHL SUPPLY CHAIN France, the logistics division of DHL France Group (2,000 employees) and one of the market leaders in logistics solutions, is looking for a Senior IT PM for its logistics warehouse in La Plaine Saint-Denis (93).

Role Purpose

As a Senior IT Project Manager, you will take end-to-end responsibility for managing large to complex IT projects, as well as the IT workstreams of broader business initiatives. Utilizing the standard DPDHL project management methodology, you will ensure successful delivery within agreed scope, time, quality, and budget. You will champion rigorous change management, proactive risk management, and act as a strategic partner to ensure IT provides optimal support to the business and its stakeholders.

Your Main Tasks and Responsibilities :

  • Project Delivery & Governance: Manage the overall planning, critical path, control, status reporting, stability, and delivery of large or complex projects (multi-area or multi-product). Ensure all project objectives match current and future business requirements.
  • Methodology & Best Practice: Act as a thought leader and champion for project management and risk management standards. Deliver best-practice, high-quality project documentation to the project database and actively conduct project health checks and quality management reviews.
  • Financial & Scope Management: Own the project budget and capital costs against the business case. Proactively manage scope, challenge scope changes to ensure benefit realization, and secure approvals through formal governance processes.
  • Risk & Issue Mitigation: Lead the risk management process by identifying, modeling, and mitigating project and commercial risks early. Drive the resolution of conflicts and complex issues, escalating appropriately when required.
  • Change Management: Lead the implementation of change programs using the ACT change management methodology and tools to drive project acceptance and minimize organizational risk.
  • Stakeholder & Communication Management: Build robust working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders. Implement a structured, tailored communication plan, obtain feedback at critical milestones, and influence investment decisions.
  • People Leadership & Development: Actively coordinate, lead, and motivate cross-country, multi-cultural, and virtual project teams. Forecast resource needs and play a key role in developing the internal project management community by coaching and mentoring career level 1 to 3 practitioners.

Work location:

La Plaine Saint-Denis (93) - 3 days of remote work per week - Travel is to be expected in France and during project deployments

Profile and Technical Skills

  • Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in IT project and programme management roles (essential).
  • Industry Knowledge: 5+ years of experience in the logistics industry with a deep understanding of complex supply chain processes and business principles (essential). Experience with WMS & TMS implementation and integration is required; know-how in Blue Yonder is a strong plus.
  • Methodologies: Expert knowledge of the Prince 2, PMI, DePICT project management methodology and ACT change management framework is essential. Knowledge of DMAIC process improvement is highly desirable.
  • Education & Certifications: University degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Logistics. Professional certifications such as PMP, Prince2 Practitioner, IPMA Level C/B, or PgMP are highly preferred.
  • Leadership & Soft Skills:
    • Strongly demonstrated leadership with the ability to manage, inspire, and motivate cross-country, multi-cultural, and matrixed teams.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to relate to and influence all levels of staff and senior management.
    • High financial acumen, strategic foresight, and the ability to review project portfolio performance against business cases.
    • Result-oriented, customer-centric, and capable of working independently to set priorities in a complex environment.
  • Travel: Mobility and willingness to travel as required.
  • Languages: Business fluency in French and English (written and spoken) is required.
