Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and commercially driven leader to join us as Station Manager, Shenzhen & Shantou. This role will lead and manage the overall performance of both stations, ensuring the achievement of business growth, operational excellence, financial targets, customer satisfaction, and people development objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

Drive Business Growth and Market Success

  • Lead the overall business performance of Shenzhen and Shantou Stations, ensuring alignment with company strategy and growth objectives.
  • Develop and execute station business plans that support revenue growth, profitability improvement, and long-term market competitiveness.
  • Identify new business opportunities, emerging market trends, and customer needs to drive sustainable growth.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Products, and Customer Service teams to expand customer portfolios and strengthen customer retention.
  • Support strategic customer engagements and key business development initiatives.

Own Financial Performance

  • Take full accountability for station financial performance, including revenue, profitability, productivity, budgeting, cost control, and cash flow management.
  • Lead annual planning, forecasting, and business review activities to ensure achievement of financial and operational goals.
  • Drive effective resource utilization and productivity improvements while maintaining high service standards.
  • Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions to address gaps and improve results.

Deliver Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end freight forwarding operations across Shenzhen and Shantou Stations.
  • Ensure operational processes consistently meet customer expectations, service standards, and business KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, service quality, and operational performance.
  • Leverage digital solutions, automation, and shared service capabilities to improve workflows and reduce operational inefficiencies.
  • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration between Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, Customs, and Product teams.

Enhance Customer Experience

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic business partners.
  • Act as the senior escalation point for critical customer issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Drive customer satisfaction, loyalty, and service excellence through proactive engagement and performance management.
  • Foster a customer-centric culture across both stations.

Ensure Compliance and Governance

  • Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade requirements, company policies, and operational procedures.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, security, ethics, and risk management.
  • Maintain effective governance and operational controls to support sustainable business performance.
  • Support DHL's sustainability initiatives and GoGreen commitments.

Lead and Develop High-Performing Teams

  • Lead, coach, and develop managers, team leaders, and employees across Shenzhen and Shantou Stations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive performance management, talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Build organizational capabilities that support current and future business needs.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or above.
  • At least 8 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Proven leadership experience managing business operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
  • Sound knowledge of freight forwarding operations and customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English and Chinese.
