Overall Role Purpose

Analyst will be assigned at Global Trade Compliance Center. As an Analyst, the individual has to conduct 1st level denied party screening of shipment details, initial analysis of embargoes high match shipment/non-shipments records to validate and determine the validity of the match, update the results of the individual review in the relevant DHL Express system and escalating valid or questionable matches and releasing the rest.

Process

Denied Parties Screening

  • Perform 1st Level denied party screening of shipment details by reviewing match information in the Denied Party Application (DPA)
  • Analyse Denied Parties / Sanctions and export control high match shipments/non-shipments records against the agreed and approved lists (defined in GSOP)
  • Update relevant systems with the results and actions taken in the review of the high match shipment.
  • Escalate all potential valid match shipment records to
    Level 2 screeners for enhanced screening.
  • Release on hold shipments not escalated to Level 2
  • Assist as directed by Senior Analyst, Supervisor and Manager in the research and review of escalated high match shipment record
  • Participate in planning and directing the flow of traffic to / from foreign destinations

Skills & Qualifications

Entry Level Job – specialist training provided

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), database and web-based applications

Excellent oral and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills; courteous and clear telephone voice

Proficiency on a 10 key number pad

Fluent English and another regional language, depending on the region requirement (Korean, Japanese, Mandarin etc)

Able to work quickly and accurately in high pressure environment under limited supervision

High attention to details

Able to perform detailed validation / research in multiple internal IT systems, internet, internal databases and hard copy files / documents

Self-motivated, willingness to constantly have self-development

Strong team player

Expected Years of Experience

Min 1-2 years of working experience in similar position or field

1 year experience in transportation or customs preferred

Experience in compliance, sanctions screening preferred

Educational Qualification

Diploma or Degree Holder from a reputable academic institution or equivalent by experience
