Organisational Background Information

Role Title : Compliance and GDP & ISO Country Auditor

Business Unit : DHL Global Forwarding

Location : Cedar Drive, Co. Dublin

Scope of Role : Compliance, GDP & ISO Country Auditor reporting into the QHSSE Manager and forming a core part of the Quality function. The role is primarily responsible for strengthening compliance governance, audit readiness, and local supplier quality management through audits across DGF Ireland.

Key activities

Key Accountabilities

  • Internal & External Audit Management
  • Planning, coordinating and conducting external (local supplier) audits as the role of qualified lead auditor.
  • Acting as lead auditor for internal audits and supporting regional and global audit programmes (ICS, FTA, GDP).
  • Reducing reliance on external audit support through in‑house capability.
  • Local Supplier Quality Management (specifically transport providers)
  • Onboarding of new local suppliers (specifically transport providers for all products) according to local procedures including qualification, risk assessment and approval.
  • Conducting supplier audits against signed Service Level Agreements, Good Distribution Practice and if applicable ISO 9001 and ensuring ongoing compliance to GDP and ISO standards.
  • Acting as the quality interface between products (Air, Ocean, Road and Industrial Products) and suppliers.
  • CAPA Oversight & Compliance Tracking
  • Tracking of CAPAs arising from audits, customer complaints and deviations.
  • Ensuring effective root cause analysis, timely closure and verification of corrective actions.
  • Liaising with CAPA owners to ensure completion and effectiveness
  • Regulatory & Standards Compliance
  • Supporting ongoing GDP and ISO compliance of DGF IE and future regulatory developments, including readiness for a WDA licence.
  • Deputising as GDP Champion when required.
  • Quality System Support & Business Continuity
  • Acting as back‑up for the Quality Systems Specialist to ensure continuity during absence.
  • Maintaining the Quality System as per local procedures
  • Ensure operational compliance to all revenue and international trade legislative requirements, and all requirements under Data Protection Legislation in addition to all DGF IE policies and procedures (H&S, Quality, Environmental, HR, etc), and work in a manner that supports the Company environment programme
  • Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP) for Life Science business, as required.
