Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible to ensure that all inbound and outbound shipments travelling through SINHUB are processed correctly and according to DHL Network Standards. It is also essential that outbound schedules are met and advertised transit times are maintained, within tight timeframes.
Your Tasks
• Handle freight with the maximum possible care, perform duties as reasonably required to fulfill inbound and outbound requirements to the network, customs authorities and DHL customers
• Process inbound material upon arrival and make sure material is available to the couriers
• Process outbound material in a timely and accurate manner including accurate pre-alert transmission at flight close
• Ensure that material not going out for delivery is secured according to security policy and procedures
• Assist in ensuring operational practices and procedures are carried out effectively
• Work with third-party contractors to ensure all activities are being carried out in a timely manner
• Capture information required for shipments at the service centre according to the standard procedures and make the information available to the network.
• Keep the process area and all equipment and materials used by outbound in a clean and useable condition and ready for the next process cycle
• Ensure that all equipment is operating and take corrective actions for equipment failure
• Maintain a proactive and careful attitude toward security of facility, freight and personnel
• Maintain a strong safety culture by adhering to DHL Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and performing their work activities safely
Good Distribution Practice (GDP)
• Ensure that physical movement of Dangerous Goods and Medical Express/WMX cargo meets customers and internal requirements and is completed in an efficient and safe manner.
What You Bring
• Communication skills (English), spoken and written
• MUST be able to work on shifts
• Physical capacity to perform the inherent requirements of the role including moving, lifting, carrying, loading/unloading various shaped/weight objects regularly
• Minimum GCE “N” Level preferred
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, time sensitive environment
• Advantage to possess forklift license
