JOB SUMMARY
As Manager of Pricing & Procurement in Industrial Projects, you strategically oversee pricing and procurement to boost sales and expand the business. The role involves managing competitive pricing for Project RFQs globally, maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, negotiating freight rates, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring SOP compliance. Success is gauged by efficient RFQ handling, response times, pricing competitiveness, negotiation outcomes, and adherence to SOPs, all aimed at delivering cost-effective solutions and meeting stakeholder expectations for business growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Impact
- Directly impacts total sales through competitive and timely pricing strategies crucial for securing business.
- Key metrics include timely response, handling of RFQs, and competitive pricing to gauge performance.
Customer/Stakeholder
- Works closely with the BD team of IP, Overseas IP offices, and M&S team in India to meet stakeholder expectations.
Problem Complexity/Process
- Handles pricing for all Project RFQs, including Ex-India pricing for Project shipments across DHL network offices.
- Obtains ocean freight rates, negotiates with shipping lines, and coordinates with vendors for transportation costs.
- Supports M&S team with project-related queries and ensures compliance with customer SOPs.
- Facilitates RFQs to DHL network offices/vendors for local business and maintains timely updates and responses to customers.
- Focuses on metrics like RFQ handling, timely responses, competitiveness of pricing, negotiation outcomes, and adherence to SOPs.
- Aims to provide cost-effective solutions within stipulated timelines while ensuring compliance with customer/stakeholder SOPs.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Must have
- Bachelor’s Degree is required.
- 5-7 years of experience in the industry.
- Exceptional skills in managing relationships with carriers.
- Proven experience in running smooth operations processes.
- Problem-solving skills to address operational challenges.
- Proficient in Email writing and verbal communication with internal and external coordination.
Preferred:
Postgraduate degree in shipping management is an added advantage.
