Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys having a full overview of the numbers and making sure everything is accurate, compliant and delivered on time?
We are looking for a Chief Accountant / Accounting Manager who will take ownership of the accounting function in Romania and work closely with local and international finance teams.
What you’ll do:
- Oversee day-to-day accounting and financial closing
- Oversee tax accounting and compliance
- Prepare and oversee accurate financial reporting for local statutory and Group requirements
- Coordinate both internal and external audits and auditors
- Lead and support the implementation of new accounting and financial processes
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and local accounting requirements
- Oversee transfer pricing activities
- Ensure accurate and efficient accounting processes
- Work with Oracle ERP, Power BI reports and more
- Coordinate the work of other teams located in SSCs
- Work closely with internal DHL Tax Function and external tax advisors
What we are looking for?
Must have:
- Solid experience in accounting in a senior or managerial role
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Excellent knowledge of Romanian accounting and tax requirements
- Experience with financial closing, reporting and audits
- Good English communication skills (B2+)
- Strong analytical and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
Nice to have:
- Experience working in an International structure including cooperation with SSC
- Experience with SAP or Oracle
- Experience with transfer pricing
- ACCA or other professional Accounting degree
