We are looking for a results-driven Assistant Manager – Air Freight Export to join our team and oversee the smooth and efficient execution of air freight export operations while delivering a high level of service to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day Air Freight Export Operations and Customer Service activities in line with business objectives, company policies and operational standards.
- Monitor team performance, allocate workloads and ensure KPI, productivity, service and compliance targets are consistently achieved.
- Oversee the end-to-end export process, including transport orders, bookings, booking optimization, shipment coordination and export documentation.
- Monitor shipment status, identify operational issues and ensure timely resolution of incidents, exceptions and customer-related matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, carriers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and service delivery.
- Identify supplier performance gaps and implement appropriate solutions to improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand services, strengthen customer retention and enhance customer experience.
- Contribute to pricing, tenders, account performance reviews and monthly management reporting.
- Ensure accurate and timely updates to relevant systems, customs information, shipment status and operational reports.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and align operations with business goals.
- Guide and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Logistics or a relevant field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Air Freight, preferably with exposure to export operations.
- Strong knowledge of air freight export processes, documentation and customer service.
- CW1 experience/exposure will be a definite advantage.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
