Job Title: Senior Team Manager

Job Location: Mumbai (Vikhroli)

In this role, you will provide input to and ensure implementation of Service line strategy to achieve short term and long term objectives (optimize resource management, service scaling, and enhancements to create value for our Business Partners), develop scenarios and forecasts, and facilitate development and implementation of strategic plans in line with GSC strategy, standards and protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to design of Service line strategy, plans and objectives
  • Review delivery of the service line following GSC protocols and standards
  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring standard business processes
  • Facilitate development and implementation of medium and long term GSC and/ or divisional strategy and goals
  • Provide accurate and timely inputs and information to serve as basis for financial/FTE planning and budget calculations
  • Manage the allocation of appropriate resources and commitment of staff to the achievement of Global, Regional and Country objectives and targets
  • Monitor medium to long-term business trends/ outlooks, gather competitive intelligence to contribute to strategic business planning discussions with leadership
  • Review corporate governance, balanced score card performance and participate in the annual business planning cycle
  • To understand the requirement of the station’s / countries documentation and devise guidelines to the teams to ensure compliance
  • Monitor through periodic reports to ensure timely closure of jobs resulting in achieving of the KPI’s
  • Participate in Internal Audit activities to ensure management system is effectively maintained
  • Develop improved tools and planning methods, increasing effectiveness and efficiency
  • Assist in providing support to various department within the organization pertaining to process Improvements
  • Work closely with colleagues in the same department to identify solution, best practice and KPI for the country to improve existing processes
  • Improve, change or adapt functional processes, systems and services in line with group standards
  • Responsible for co-ordination and flow of information with other departments (interfaces)
  • Develop a high-performance service culture within the functional department

Customer/Stakeholder

  • Majority of interactions are with supervisors at one level down, equivalent level or one level higher, with business partners it may be with senior leadership. Interaction normally involves specific phases of work or operation, interventions/calibrations, future planning.
  • Role model to subordinates and peers; instructs or coaches others
  • Fosters / encourages cross-effectiveness across teams, encourages loyalty and respect from others, fosters empowerment and involvement
  • Drives quality and customer service

People Management

  • Provide primary input to hiring, performance, and rewards decisions for a group of service, operations or support employees, perhaps assisted by subordinate team managers or leaders or senior individual contributor employees
  • Primary contribution is supervising team managers/leaders
  • Ensuring training and development of the team
  • Managing team's productivity, and quality
  • Communication – ensure effective communication structure in place i.e. weekly / monthly team meetings.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Graduate (Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in any discipline)
  • Management qualification (preferrable)
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years’ experience, with 1-3 years execution of functional strategy and operational direction
  • Logistics or Back Office experience
  • Good Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Good People management Skills
  • Computer knowledge (word, excel, power point)
  • Project management skills
