The Operations Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Operations Manager in the overall management and execution of daily operational activities. The role ensures that operational targets, customer requirements, productivity goals, quality standards, and compliance requirements are consistently achieved. The Operations Assistant Manager provides leadership to operational teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures effective utilization of resources to meet business objectives.Responsibilities
Operations Management • Assist the Operations Manager in planning, organizing, and overseeing daily operational activities • Ensure smooth and efficient execution of warehouse, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations • Monitor operational performance and implement corrective actions when required • Ensure adherence to company policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and customer requirements • Manage and coordinate manpower allocation to meet operational demands Team Leadership •Supervise, coach, and develop supervisors, team leaders, and operational staff • Conduct performance monitoring and provide regular feedback to team members • Support employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive work environment • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluation activities Customer and Stakeholder Management • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders • Ensure fulfillment of customer service requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) • Address customer concerns, complaints, and operational issues promptly • Participate in business reviews and customer meetings as required Performance Management • Monitor and analyze operational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) • Prepare and present operational reports, performance analyses, and improvement recommendations • Drive initiatives to improve productivity, quality, accuracy, and service performance • Support the achievement of business targets and operational objectives Continuous Improvement • Identify opportunities for operational optimization and cost reduction • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness • Support change management initiatives and business transformation projects Compliance, Safety, and Quality • Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental standards • Promote a culture of safety and operational excellence • Conduct operational audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented • Maintain compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standardsRequirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in operations, logistics, warehousing, or supply chain management, with supervisory experience preferred. • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on operational efficiency and continuous improvement. • Proven experience in managing daily operations, productivity, and service level performance. • Strong knowledge of warehouse, transportation, inventory management, and supply chain processes. • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is an advantage. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. • Strong organizational and planning skills. • Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards within an operational environment. • Results-oriented, customer-focused, and committed to operational excellence.
