Position Summary:
Serve in an integral leadership role within the Advancement and Marketing team and report to the Vice President, Advancement & Marketing. Responsible for planning, managing, and executing activities that increase, diversify, and sustain philanthropic support for Easterseals Redwood from individuals and corporations. Leading a team of professionals, responsible for the mid- and major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, corporate partnerships, and donor stewardship. Bring both strategic vision and hands-on leadership, with the ability to clearly communicate plans, progress, and results to senior leadership.
Job Responsibilities:
- Drive a significant focus on developing a strategy for increasing gifts of $5000+ and building a strong planned giving program.
- Partner with the VP, Advancement & Marketing to meet all philanthropic goals for individuals and corporations by creating integrated cultivation plans that engage and connect donors to our work.
- Utilizing Raisers Edge NXT, develop goals and plans for mid and major gift donors and prospective donors to secure gifts of $5000+, with personal focus on gifts of $10K+.
- Collaborate with agency leadership to establish funding priorities aligned with organizational goals.
- Grow and manage a portfolio of donors while supporting team members in effective portfolio management.
- Establish and manage philanthropy budgets and performance metrics; track and analyze results and return on investment (ROI); and recommend improvements to enhance outcomes.
- Use donor data and giving information to develop Individual goals and overall priorities for team to guide advancement strategy.
- With focus on the donor experience, ensure every donor has a meaningful opportunity for engagement and education about our work, including their role in our success.
- Utilize resources provided by Easterseals National to expand planned giving presence and increase opportunities for non-cash gifts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualifications:
- Belief in the mission and values of Easterseals Redwood.
- Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 3 years in fundraising leadership and 10 years working in fundraising, sales, marketing, or related field.
- Proven success in donor cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, including experience managing and mentoring fundraising professionals in the process.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to prioritize competing demands.
- Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills, providing clear direction, fostering collaboration, and engaging team members to achieve results. Demonstrates integrity and accountability in leadership decisions.
- Extensive experience with donor databases and demonstrated ability to use data to inform strategy and achieve fundraising goals.
- Excellent writing, listening, interpersonal, and customer service capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Creative, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work a standard schedule, with flexibility for occasional evening and weekend events.
