Job Title: Grassroots Marketing Game Day & Events Staff
Reports to: Grassroots & Events Coordinator
Department: Brand Marketing & Communications
 
Position Summary:
FC Cincinnati is seeking highly motivated individuals interested in being a part of the FCC Grassroots Marketing Game Day & Events Staff. The primary location for this role will be at the TQL stadium and average 20hrs/week. You will work all home match days for the club to increase fan experience and engagement. You will also represent FCC at various community events outside of game days, such as watch parties, festivals, and community gatherings. You will offer fun and interactive activities to leave lasting impressions on current and future fans.  This is a paid position on an hourly basis.
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Operate game day Fan Zones at Washington Park, the Carl and Martha Linder Plaza, and the Fan Stand which includes providing excellent customer service while offering fun and engaging activities such as Striker Challenge, an inflatable slide, craft zones, photo stations, a marketing table and occasionally soccer skills stations
  • Set up and break down of marketing tent, inflatables, photo booth, soccer equipment, corporate and community partner activations, etc. on game days and at community events
  • Distribute marketing materials such as pocket schedules, posters, and flyers on game days and at community events
  • Interact with fans by facilitating contests, promotions, and giveaways on game days and at community events
  • Facilitate data capture through “enter to win” opportunities on game days and at community events
  • Participate in FCC marketing events designed to provide value to Season Ticket Members, Kids Club Members, and people of the Cincinnati community

  • Soccer knowledge and experience preferred but not required
 What You’ll Need:
  • Experience in marketing, communications, sporting events, promotions
  • Ability to problem solve in a time sensitive manner
  • Flexible schedule during the season with availability on weekdays, weekends, and/or holidays
  • Self-starter that can be given a task and will take ownership of the successful execution on it
  • Ability to think critically and outside the box 
  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program or recently graduated from an accredited university
  • Ability to work the 2024 home matches and special events as required
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the FCC game schedule and special events
  • Ability to pass a background check and driving record check
