Job Title: FCC2 Equipment Intern
Reports to: Manager of FCC2 Equipment
Department: Soccer Operations
Position Summary:
The FCC2 Equipment Intern will work alongside our FCC2 Equipment Manager to assist the equipment needs of our FCC2 team at FC Cincinnati. This position will be based out of the Mercy Health Training Center in Milford, Ohio. Interns can expect to learn what it takes to work in equipment at the professional level on a daily basis. This internship is set to begin in February and conclude in November with an average of 25 hours per week. The candidate for this role must be able to work 8:30am-3pm, Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays. Additionally, this candidate must be flexible to work around the FCC2 home game schedule. This is an hourly paid internship and college credit is also available if needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist with upkeep of the FCC2 home team locker room at MHTC and NKU
- Confirm the players’ locker room is set up to MLS standards
- Assist coaching staff with set-up and breakdown before and after all training sessions
- Help pack for upcoming road trips, in addition to assisting with equipment drop off and pick up from road games
- Aid the Equipment team unpack from road trips to ensure things are prepared for the next training session or game
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with FCC2 players and staff
- Prepare the home team locker room on game days and assist on upkeep ensuring a professional appearance
- Ensure players and staff are properly outfitted and supplied with appropriate and functioning equipment
- Collect player kits post training, games, and brings them to the designated area to be washed and dried
- Organize and track all team apparel and equipment
- Assist in all areas of soccer operations as required
- Help with home games (locker room set up, tear down)
- Assist with Gameday prep
- Other duties as assigned

- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably in Business or Sport Management

About Mercy Health Training Center
In 2019, the club opened the state-of-the-art Mercy Health Training Center (MHTC) in Milford, Ohio. Designed by MSA Sport, the $30 million, 24-acre facility includes three full-size, lighted soccer fields – including two stabilized natural grass surfaces and one synthetic turf surface – as well as a goalkeeper-specific training area. The MLS team is housed in a 30,000 sq. ft., multilevel building abutting the fields, including a separate, 4,000 sq. ft. wing of the building for the FC Cincinnati Academy.
