- Responsible for the day-to-day operation of both markets ensuring customers have a pleasant shopping experience and receive healthy and nutritious food.

1. | 65% | Daily | Manages Market Staff and Volunteers; is responsible for staff hiring, staff training, timekeeping, and development. Coordinates food supply in the Market ensuring that stock is appropriately ordered from the Foodbank Distribution Center, stored, rotated and maintained; assures that the Markets are compliant with local, state, and other applicable standards.

2. | 10%
| Daily | Maintains and tracks an accurate inventory of food and non-food items through established Market procedures. Reviews Markets budget and gives updates as needed about food purchases. Ensures sanitation of Markets is performed as needed which could include sweeping, dusting, mopping, wiping down refrigeration units, and using floor scrubber.

3. | 10% | As needed | Collaborates with Markets and Foodbank staff to develop and implement training and education related to food and nutrition for clients. Ensures appropriate customer service in Markets; also, works to develop and provide direction and positive experiences for volunteers and stipend workers in Markets.

4. | 5% | As needed | Ensures appropriate customer service in Markets; also, works to develop and provide direction and positive experiences for volunteers and stipend workers in Food Room.

5. | 5% | As needed | Serves on various committees or events to facilitate staffing of assigned positions and coordination of services. Maintains accurate data reporting.

Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in the food service field, plus 1 to 2 years supervisory experience or a high school diploma/GED with 5 to 7 years experience in food handling and/or customer service situations.
AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Warehousing knowledge is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
Ability to obtain certification and operate forklift, power jack and other product moving equipment.
Must be Food Safe or Obtain ServSafe certification.
Ability to work with a widely diverse clientele, respect diversity in clients and staff.
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to solve problems.
Able to supervise staff.
Working knowledge of: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Office products
Ability to accurately enter information into a database. Able to learn VESTA data program.
Ability to work cooperatively toward agency and divisional goals and objectives.
