Overview: The Quality Engineer will ensure that all software solutions meet high standards of reliability, performance, and user experience before deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, test automation, and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Responsibilities: - Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for internal and external applications.
- Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments.
- Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
- Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
- Ensure security and compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Education and Experience: - High school diploma, or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- 3-5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer (or like positions)
- Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Experience testing desktop, web, mobile, and API-based applications.
- Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: - Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Understanding of security and accessibility testing practices.
- Ability to perform both independently and collaboratively to accomplish necessary deliverables efficiently and effectively.
