Quality Engineer

Overview:
The Quality Engineer will ensure that all software solutions meet high standards of reliability, performance, and user experience before deployment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, test automation, and cross-functional collaboration.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for internal and external applications.
  • Collaborate with development teams and business stakeholders to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Identify, document, and track defects; work with developers and vendors to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback from a quality perspective.
  • Ensure security and compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Continuously improve QA processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma, or GED; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience as a Quality Engineer (or like positions)
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  • Experience testing desktop, web, mobile, and API-based applications.
  • Experience with programming languages such as C#, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Understanding of security and accessibility testing practices.
  • Ability to perform both independently and collaboratively to accomplish necessary deliverables efficiently and effectively.
