About the position:
The Clermont County Park District is seeking a part-time Interpretative Assistant to join our team. Come join a team of naturalists that provides interpretive assistance and public programming. This will include support of the naturalist staff in performing a wide range of duties related to nature-based programming for the general public, schools, and community groups. The position will assist with day-to-day staffing and upkeep of the Chilo Lock 34 Visitor Center and River History Museum. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. This position is based at our offices at Clingman Park with 24-28 hours per week. To learn more about our parks and programming visit www.clermontparks.org
Qualifications:
Associate Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in natural sciences such as such as biology, geology environmental studies, history, or a related field, and one (1) year of work experience in the parks and recreation field; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must possess a valid State of Ohio driver’s license. Must remain insurable under the Park District’s vehicle insurance policy. Must be certified in First Aid and CPR by a recognized health care educational provider or obtain certification within six (6) months of employment in this position.
