General Statement of Duties:
The District Director is responsible for the overall management and implementation of District programs, procedures and policies as established by the District’s Board of Supervisors. Duties include the planning and execution of technical and administrative phases of environmental and conservation programs along with fiscal, personnel and program management. Work is performed under the general administrative direction of the Board of Supervisors Executive Committee, through regular and special meetings, conferences, and oral or written instructions.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in agriculture, environmental studies, biological science, or a closely related field and at least four years of professional level work experience, or its part-time equivalent in a program involving soil and water conservation management activities. Environmental project management and employee supervisory experience is preferred. Prior experience operating outdoor equipment and performing physically demanding work in an outdoor environment is desirable.
