Gorman Heritage Farm is a nonprofit working farm dedicated to cultivating a healthy community through farm-based education and experiences about food, sustainable agriculture, and the natural world. We welcome more than 20,000 visitors each year and rely on a small staff and dedicated volunteers to bring our mission to life.
Position Overview
We’re seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Communications Volunteer to help us tell the farm’s story online. This role is perfect for a college student or young professional eager to build a portfolio, gain nonprofit communications experience, and support community engagement in a meaningful way.
What You’ll Do
● Assist with creating and scheduling engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms.
● Capture and curate photos and short videos of farm life, events, and animals.
● Write short-form posts, captions, and stories that connect with our audience.
● Help track analytics and engagement to learn what works best.
● Support marketing campaigns for seasonal events like our Sunflower Festival and Fall Farm Fun Days.

Qualifications
● Strong writing and creativity skills.
● Comfortable using Instagram, Facebook, Canva or Adobe, or similar tools.
● Photography/video skills are a plus, but not required.
● Reliable, self-motivated, and excited about sustainable agriculture and community engagement.
