Climate Action Fellow
Green Umbrella
The Climate Action Fellowship, launched by Green Umbrella in 2024 and modeled after Indiana University’s Resilience Cohort, helps local governments create and carry out climate action plans. Communities get expert training, personalized support, and host a summer fellow who works on projects that deliver real climate progress.

In 2026, Green Umbrella is accepting applicants for three types of fellowships:
Climate Action Fellowship, Green & Healthy Schools Fellowship, Greenspace Fellowship
The fellowship summer 2026 term will run from approximately June to August 2026 with a training in late May. Fellows will work 40 hours/week. Maximum of $6000 stipend.
Eligibility:
- Undergraduate student OR graduate student OR individual at any stage of their career who wants to pivot into the climate space
- Based in Greater Cincinnati (Green Umbrella’s 10-county area: Boone County KY, Butler Co OH, Campbell Co KY, Clermont Co OH, Dearborn Co IN, Franklin Co IN, Grant Co KY, Hamilton Co OH, Kenton Co KY, Warren Co OH)
