POSITION: Hub Shop/Reuse Manager
DESCRIPTION: This position works and manages all aspects of the Hub Shop/Reuse
Area, including but not limited to maintaining the space and managing the incoming
and outgoing of materials for the area.

• Weigh all outgoing Reuse items when customers are taking them for reuse and operate Square POS system when checking customers out
• Stock and maintain the Reuse area shelves with incoming materials in an organized way on a regular basis
• Selectively pull and price more valuable items for resale in the Hub Shop or for sale online.
• Maintain the Hub’s Etsy and Ebay accounts, packing and shipping items when necessary.
• Refine the Reuse area’s organization, intake, maintenance, and shopping processes
• Work with volunteers in directing the sorting of materials for the Hub Shop
• Manage marketing efforts for the Hub Shop including Facebook page
• Find other organizations that will accept Reuse items
• Collaborate on weekly Tinker Team program
• Work closely with regional partners such as Hamilton County ReSource to develop workshops and reuse events
• Direct phone or email inquiries regarding reusable materials to other organizations if necessary

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
● General knowledge of items accepted by the Hub and where the items are sent for recycling or reuse
● Passion for reducing wastefulness through creative reuse and repair, with a keen eye for potential value in cast off items.
● Familiarity with our partners and what reuse items are sent to them
● Excellent organizational skills
● Warm and welcoming customer service skills, with a desire to connect people with reusable materialsGood interpersonal communication skills
● Ensure staff and volunteers are continually updated on acceptable reuse intake items.
● Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds. Items for the Reuse Area may include heavy boxes of design samples, such as tile.
● Flexibility and adaptability to change
● Reliable transportation to and from the Hub

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
● Frequent walking with long periods of standing
● No air conditioning and minimal heat in the warehouse

HOURS: 40 hours/ week for 48 weeks. $17/hour

Benefits include PTO and QSHERHA Health Coverage.
Operating days are Tuesday through Saturday.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
● High school diploma or equivalent
