Construction Site Superintendent I

As a Habitat for Humanity Construction Site Superintendent, you will be responsible for the successful completion of new home and rehab construction from framing through punch list utilizing volunteers and subcontractors to execute each construction task. You will also be responsible to manage the day to day activities of AmeriCorps members.
Position Responsibilities
• Manage daily operations on site: o Keep task list current for crew members and volunteers to follow
o Manage all safety protocol
o Provide orientation information as needed
o Lead, train, and direct volunteers. Ensure volunteers have an A+ experience
• Stay informed of volunteer schedules and expectations
• Continually create, maintain, and follow a two-week site schedule
• Maintain daily logs in Buildertrend
• Manage day to day activities of AmeriCorps members. This includes providing them with direction, training, and feedback regularly. All issues should be reported to the Host Manager immediately
• Proactively communicate to your Manager: o Progress, issues, and schedule daily
o Proactively the needs of materials and subcontractors to manager
o Subcontractor progress daily
Qualifications
• A valid driver’s license is required
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in all phases of the residential construction process
• Must be able to lift 80 pounds independently/regularly and function on scaffolding, ladders, and roofs.
• Ability to read and understand plans and construction details
• Must be familiar with residential building codes
• Broad residential construction knowledge
• Experience working for a production homebuilder is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred
