Hamilton County Public Health is accepting applications for a Public Health Nurse in the Division of Disease Prevention. Requirements include: Ohio RN licensure or multistate licensure plus one (1) year experience. Experience in Public Health Nursing preferred. Experience with Epic highly desirable. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residency. Must maintain current Basic Life Support CPR and AED (BLS) certification; willingness to undergo FIT testing. This position must abide by all state and federal laws, rules and HCPH policies and procedures. Must be skilled in operating a personal computer. This position performs high level professional duties and responsibilities in the care and treatment of patients at and for Hamilton County Public Health.Job duties include, but are not limited to:- Tuberculosis case management and contact investigations.- Phone and in person triage/assessment for STI testing.- Provides public health nursing services for patients (adults and children) in the disease prevention clinic and in the community.- Obtaining and processing lab specimens including blood draws, sputums and processing lab reports.- Conducting direct observed therapy in clinic or fieldwork.- Administering immunizations and injections.- Ability to navigate the Epic EMR system.- Provide education, schedule appointments, provide follow up treatment for those needing additional treatment.- Selected immunizations or titers and/or periodic screening for tuberculosis may be recommended for this position.- May be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency.**Position posted until filledThis is an exempt position.
