Hamilton County Public Health is accepting applications for a Full Time Epidemiologist in the Department of Community Health Services. Candidates must possess a Master’s in Public Health or a degree in a related field. One or more years of experience in disease surveillance, community health assessments, and/or epidemiological research is preferred. Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Participate in the design, management, and evaluation of surveillance systems to monitor and characterize maternal and child health outcomes.- Collect, clean, analyze, and interpret public health data using tools such as SAS, R/RStudio, Tableau, and ArcGIS; assist with data management and data quality improvement.- Develop data reports, dashboards, and visualizations for internal and external audiences related to maternal and child health.- Support evaluations of public health programs and practices related to maternal and child health, disease prevention, and health promotion and education.- Assist in developing and implementing methods to improve data quality and ensure data integrity across systems.- Stay current with emerging best practices in epidemiology to integrate relevant developments to strengthen program efforts.- Coordinate and conduct epidemiologic analyses and community health assessments.- Communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences including program staff, leadership, and community partners.- Fulfill data requests from internal and external stakeholders related to maternal and child health.- Facilitate and lead discussion during multidisciplinary child, fetal, and infant fatality review meetings, ensuring a collaborative and trauma-informed environment.- Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with local public health agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders.- Experience with quality improvement, program evaluation, and/or performance management is a plus.
