Shop Trailer Technicians
Location: Sellersburg IN
Shift: Day Shift and Swing Shift options available.
Swing Shift Monday - Friday or Tuesday -Saturday
Interstate Utility Trailer is seeking an experienced Shop Trailer Technician to start up our brand new SELLERSBURG IN shop. We've been in business for almost 50 years and excited to be expanding to the Sellersburg area. We will have a BRAND NEW state of the art facility

Responsibilities for a Trailer Technician:
  • Perform trailer repairs, including wall patches and floor patches
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trailers
  • Perform DOT inspections
  • Replace wheel seals
  • Perform welding as needed
  • Provide mobile repair services
  • Provide road service as needed
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with trailers
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
  • Read job orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures.
  • Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
  • Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and adjust as needed.
  • Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.

  • Test-drive vehicles to ensure that they run smoothly.
  • Tag all warranty parts and returns to the warranty clerk.
  • Attend training classes and keep tabs on factory technical bulletins.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness.
  • Properly complete the service and/or repairs assigned by the supervisor.
  • Complete all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
  • Participate in, and utilize to the best of one’s abilities, technical training as assigned by management.
  • Maintain your designated workspace in an organized and clean manner.
  • Ensure guest vehicles are returned as clean as they were prior to being serviced.
  • Show the utmost courtesy to all guests, visitors, and dealership personnel.
  • Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
  • Adhere to manufacturer’s policies and procedures as they relate to labor operations, time, and repair order documentation when performing warranty repairs and torque specifications.
Qualifications for a Trailer Technician:
  • Reefer experience is a must
  • Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
  • Must be able to test drive units to insure that they run smoothly
  • Teammate with a strong sense of dedication to the customer and service team
  • Self-motivated and professional
  • Must be able to work independently
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting, Climbing, Standing, Stooping/Kneeling for extended amounts of time.
  • Reaching with arms and hands
  • Lift up to 80 pounds
  • Must be able to work independently
Swing Shift is 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
