Company: Interstate Utility Trailer Position: Salesperson Territory: Cleveland / Columbus Interstate State Utility Trailer is adding to their team and looking for a SKILLED and EXPERIENCED SALESPERSON to represent their industry-leading product lines. This person must have demonstrated experience in the transportation and/or heavy equipment fields. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented and have a strong understanding of equipment specifications and finance products. They must be able to travel in their assigned territory and interact with existing and potential customers. Primary Focus and Responsibilities: - Develops and keeps a network of contacts from which to generate new sales opportunities.
- Engages with customers and leads to learn about their product or service requirements; recommends products and services that can fulfill those requirements.
- Estimate and quote prices for new trailer sales, trailer rental and lease deals.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
- Monitor and evaluate the industry competitors, new services, and market conditions of the company to identify a customer's particular needs.
- Travel is required within designed sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily.
- Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts.
- Work closely with sales team to help build the brand.
- Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
- Provides periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements: - Detail oriented and have a strong understanding of equipment specifications and finance products
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, sales, business, or related field
- Prior Trailer and/or service sales experience required preferably in the transportation industry.
- The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years in the sale of heavy-duty commercial equipment
