Project Implementor

Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing and implementing capital projects from ideation through completion within manufacturing and operational environments. The Project Implementor ensures projects align with organizational goals while meeting budgetary, timeline, safety, and quality expectations. This role coordinates cross‑functional teams and external partners to support operational efficiency and strategic growth initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost‑benefit analyses for proposed capital projects.
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Lead execution of approved capital projects, ensuring alignment with plans, safety standards, and company policies.
- Coordinate project activities across engineering, operations, maintenance, finance, and external vendors or contractors.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or variances, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support optimal use of internal and external resources across multiple projects.
- Ensure project compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Conduct quality reviews and performance evaluations during and following project completion.
- Provide regular project updates and status reporting to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Prepare documentation, reports, and financial summaries related to project performance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in project planning, execution, and implementation processes.
- Document lessons learned and apply improvements to future projects.
- Communicate with co‑workers, management, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile special reports as required.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office and manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and project management software, and regularly interacts with manufacturing facilities and project sites where noise levels range from low to moderate.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and work at a computer for extended periods. Specific vision abilities required include close vision due to computer work. Light to moderate lifting may be required. Ability to work in a constant state of alertness is required.
Expected Hours of Work
This is a salaried, exempt level, full‑time position with standard working days and hours of Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required as necessary to support project deadlines, plant outages, or implementation schedules.
Travel
Travel is moderate and primarily associated with visits to manufacturing facilities, vendors, or project sites. Some out‑of‑the‑area and overnight travel may be required.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Five (5) or more years of experience managing capital projects or large‑scale operational implementations in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
