About the Role:

The Warehouse Process Lead plays a critical role in supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse within a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for assisting in the oversight of daily warehouse activities, ensuring that inventory management, shipping, receiving, and storage processes are executed accurately and timely. The role requires close collaboration with the Warehouse Manager to implement safety protocols, optimize workflow, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory standards. The Assistant Warehouse Manager will also contribute to staff supervision, training, and performance management to foster a productive and motivated team. Ultimately, this position ensures that warehouse operations support the broader manufacturing supply chain effectively, contributing to overall organizational success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse operations, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in supervising or leading a team in a warehouse or distribution setting.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control software.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related discipline.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or OSHA safety certification.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools to support operational decision-making.
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping of materials and finished goods.
  • Support inventory control processes by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Help enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with OSHA and company policies.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff to maintain high performance and adherence to operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to coordinate material flow and meet production schedules.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of warehouse activities and prepare reports for management review.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Provide backup support to the Warehouse Manager during absences or peak workload periods.
