Position Overview The Director of Marketing leads the company’s marketing strategy to elevate brand presence while directly supporting business development and revenue growth across multiple markets. Reporting to executive leadership, this role partners closely with sales to translate business priorities into integrated marketing initiatives that strengthen client relationships, support consultative selling, and generate marketing-supported pipeline. Marketing serves as a strategic sales enablement function—equipping teams with thought leadership, compelling brand storytelling, and high-impact marketing tools that help win new business and deepen long-term partnerships. This leader will guide a marketing function responsible for lead generation, social media and events, and RFP/proposal marketing that directly supports sales pursuits. By using HubSpot and the latest marketing technologies, the Director will implement data-driven processes that track marketing activity, client engagement, and pipeline impact. The ideal candidate brings both forward-looking and hands-on leadership, thriving in complex B2B environments with long consultative sales cycles and ensuring marketing initiatives consistently align with and accelerate the company’s sales and growth objectives. Key Responsibilities - Cocreate and lead the marketing strategy that aligns with business growth priorities and supports revenue generation.
- Develop and scale thought leadership marketing campaigns that position the company as an industry authority and support consultative, relationship-driven sales.
- Oversee integrated digital marketing programs including SEO/SEM, content marketing, email automation, and social media to generate and nurture leads throughout long sales cycles.
- Own and optimize HubSpot as the central marketing platform for campaign execution, lead nurturing, CRM integration, activity tracking, and performance reporting.
- Lead RFP and proposal marketing efforts, ensuring compelling storytelling, strong visual presentation, and strategic messaging that differentiates the company in competitive pursuits.
- Strengthen brand presence and engagement through innovative social media strategies, industry events, trade shows, and community-focused initiatives.
- Develop and manage collaborative marketing initiatives with manufacturer and supplier partners, including co-branded campaigns, product launches, and educational events.
- Champion data-driven marketing practices, establishing KPIs and leveraging analytics to measure campaign performance and marketing ROI.
- Lead and develop a specialized marketing team responsible for digital outreach, social media/events, and RFP/CRM management.
- Manage marketing budgets, vendors, and agency relationships to ensure effective resource allocation and high-impact marketing outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience Required - 8 + years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director or equivalent)
- Experience in AEC (architecture, engineering, construction), design-build, professional services, or similar B2B industry with long sales cycles and consultative selling.
- Proven success in developing thought-leadership programs that support relationship-driven business development.
- Hands-on experience leading RFP/proposal marketing efforts for complex projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing collaborative marketing partnerships with manufacturers or suppliers.
- Experience maintaining brand consistency across multiple markets.
- Advanced proficiency using a customer relationship management (CRM) platform for marketing automation, CRM management, campaign tracking, and analytics.
Technical Expertise - Digital marketing strategy (SEO/SEM, content marketing, email automation, analytics).
- Social media and community engagement strategy.
- Visual storytelling and marketing content development.
- AI-enabled marketing tools for content, analytics, and automation.
- Event marketing and industry engagement.
Preferred - HubSpot certifications (Inbound Marketing, Content Marketing, HubSpot Marketing Software).
- Experience marketing within the design, architecture, construction, or commercial furniture industries.
- Familiarity with visual design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Canva.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Portfolio of successful campaigns, thought leadership programs, or proposal wins
