• This position will provide clinical support in EEG, EKG, Cardiac Stress Lab, Echo, and Cardiac Monitoring.
• Prepares patients for and assists neurologists with all technical aspects of testing
• Prepares patients for tests; obtains patients' histories and any contraindications, explains procedures to patients, applies electrodes, performs testing and communicates with neurology department on all aspects of testing, references and medication; coordinates and prepares tests for interpretation with the neurologist
• Maintains accurate departmental records and files for testing; assists in scheduling, pre-certification, corporate compliance, charge capture, and denial management of procedures; participates and assists in the departmental Performance Improvement Plan; maintains safety and infection control measures; maintains clinical competencies and credentialing; serves as a preceptor to new employees as needed
• Transporting patients within the hospital as needed

Minimum Requirements:

• Current EEG certification by Continuing Medical Education or the ASET Neurodiagnostic Society (preferred)
• Current CPR certification
• Experience with cardiac telemetry (preferred)
