About the opportunity
Casual Social Work positions at Grade 2 level are available at both Mercy Hospital for Women and Werribee Mercy Hospital.
These positions encompass a clinical caseload within the maternity or gynaecological streams at Mercy Hospital for Women and the acute, subacute, maternity and paediatric streams at Werribee Mercy Hospital. ED/SSU Social Work is not included in this opportunity
This position will form part of an integrated multidisciplinary team and will be required to provide highly responsive and flexible services to consumers whilst upholding a high level of professionalism and practising the core values of Mercy Health
This role will encourage best practise philosophy amongst staff and will be expected to demonstrate an advanced skill set
What you’ll bring
Tertiary qualifications in Social Work with a minimum of 2 years' post qualifying experience and eligibility for membership to the AASW
Sound knolwedge of evidence-based practises and commitment to continuing professional development and research
Prior hospital experience is highly desirable
Adaptive, creative with a passion for patient focussed care
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
