DIRECTOR SLEEP LAB | ST. ELIZABETH BOARDMAN HOSPITAL
Market responsibilities include, but not limited to daily operations of Sleep Labs, program planning, strategic development, programmatic growth, establishment and maintenance of applicable policies and processes, financial planning and oversight, quality improvement, and supervision and development of staff. Market responsibilities will require equal dispersment between facilities to ensure policy/process consistency and physician relations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Facilitates Service line compliance with regulatory bodies and accreditation standards, not limited to the design and maintenance of departmental policies and processes. Develops performance and strategic objectives for the service line, including clinical outcomes and business operations. Develops and maintains collegial relationships with physicians and within the community to promote the service line. Establishes business development strategies and plans, working in tandem with Marketing & Communications, to achieve regional goals, including increased revenues and profitable market share, while incorporating a strong, clinical focus.
- Develops and forecasts annual departmental budget forecasting, including operating and capital budgets. Manages budget and productivity standards to meet established targets. Manages inventory of equipment and supplies as appropriate. Participates in recruitment, hiring, orientation and training of new employees. Develops and assists in maintaining staffing levels aligned with productivity standards. Identifies and provides opportunities for Service line and training and ensures timely training for new technology and protocols.
- Evaluates employee performance and provides timely performance management feedback. Facilitates regular staff meetings and models effective communication
- Leads community outreach initiatives through opportunity analysis. Keeps abreast of the competitive environment, clinical advances, technological enhancements, and reimbursement trends to strengthen business development plans and help identify opportunities for inclusion in the strategic plan. Communicates information to key stakeholders
- Participates in development and implementation of a comprehensive quality review/improvement program based on relevant indicators and standards of care. Develops and models customer service expectations; provides staff with timely feedback related to outcomes of service provided. Develops and maintains processes to ensure equipment function and safety.
- Advances the practice of sleep by implementing best practice interventions; use data measures to improve clinical outcomes; support and use of research; implement structures and processes for caregivers to influence improvements in their practice.
REQUIRED
- Bachelors Degree in Health Related Field
- Registered Polysomnographer
- BLS
