Funder Solutions Specialist - Foundation

Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The primary function of this role will be to support the post-award grants management environment. The Grant Solutions Specialist will work closely with Foundation staff and grant personnel (grant managers, project directors, supervisors) to support effective day-to-day management and recordkeeping of grant awards.
Essential Job Functions
Provide hands-on support to grant personnel to ensure grant compliance, support program effectiveness and maximize reimbursements/ payments.
Work with staff to develop and maintain checklists for workflow to meet the requirements of grant awards.
Educate grant personnel on the flow of grant related expenses and revenue through the BSMH enterprise system.
Assist grant personnel in preparing and reviewing accurate and timely fiscal reports and drawdowns to safeguard against under- or over- spending.
Assist Foundation and Finance staff in correctly recording grant reimbursements and deliverable payments and establishing banking instructions for new grants.
Support timely and accurate reporting using shared calendars, task lists and document storage solutions
Provide technical support for the WorkdayTM environment.
Stay abreast of funder and industry developments and regulations.
Work closely with internal departments and external business partners to maintain and enhance post-award compliance and reinforce and amplify communications from the Foundation, funders and regulatory agencies
Identify educational needs related to post-award management and participate in the development of new trainings on WorkdayTM features and functionality.
Assist Foundation staff with updates to Foundation grant policies, procedures and manuals.
Assist the Foundation with additional grant-related tasks, as assigned.

Licensing/Certification
Preferred- Certified Grant Management Specialist (CGMS)
Education
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, public administration, nonprofit management, healthcare management, project management, or related field preferred, or significant relevant experience.
Work Experience
Two years of grant and or budget management using enterprise accounting software required. Five years of grant and or budget management using enterprise accounting software preferred.
Training
Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook) and Microsoft Teams (required)
CRM experience (preferred).
WorkdayTM (preferred)
PowerBI experience (preferred)
Working Conditions
Periods of high stress and fluctuating workloads may occur.
Long-distance or air travel as needed- not to exceed 10% travel.
General office environment.
May be exposed to adverse weather conditions; cold, hot, dust, wind, etc.
May have periods of constant interruptions.
Required to car travel to off-site locations, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
Prolonged periods of working alone.
Skills
Hard/Tech/Clinical Skills:
- Proficiency in WorkdayTM Grants or similar platform.
- Ability to analyze grant contracts and regulations
- Computer literate with the ability to acquire new skills readily.
Soft/Interpersonal Skills:
- Experience working on remote teams
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills
- Proactive attitude and desire for continuous performance improvement
