About the opportunity
Join the friendly and committed Workforce Team at Mercy Hospital for Women Heidelberg.
The Workforce Unit is a small friendly team in a fast-paced hospital/office environment. As an Allocations Officer in the health industry, you will be responsible for managing the allocation of nursing staff to departments at MHW. Your role will involve monitoring resource utilization you will assist in coordinating staffing resources for our Clinical teams across the hospital and ensuring efficient allocation practices to support the delivery of quality healthcare services.

Permanent part-time position working evening shifts, with the opportunity to work day-time shifts to cover leave
Work closely with the Hospital Coordinator to allocate nurses and midwives to shift vacancies
Provide excellent customer service for nurses and midwives
Attend to general office administration duties

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Have experience in office environments
Demonstrate customer service with an outstanding phone manner
Demonstrate high-level office skills with an eye for detail and excellent time management skills
Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills
Experience in data entry, preferably in Allocation systems
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
