About the opportunity
Lead a landmark healthcare project in Melbourne’s West.
Support a $117.6 million expansion of the Werribee Mercy Hospital Emergency Department, doubling its capacity to meet the growing needs of Melbourne’s western suburbs.
We are seeking an experienced Program Director to lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and operational transition of this critical project.
This role will oversee complex capital works within a clinical environment, ensuring minimal disruption to patient care and a seamless transition to operations. You will manage multidisciplinary workstreams including clinical operations, workforce recruitment, operational readiness, and communications
Key Responsibilities include:
Lead project execution from building handover to operational transition.
Develop and manage the Integrated Master Schedule and operational move plan.
Oversee project budget (capital and operational) and ensure financial accountability.
Ensure quality standards, regulatory compliance, and commissioning of new facilities.
Establish governance structures and manage stakeholder engagement.
Drive risk management, safety, and compliance strategies.
Coordinate workforce recruitment and onboarding for the expanded ED.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, or related discipline.
Demonstrated expertise in project management and clinical operations.
Proficiency in PPM tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project).
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to manage complex projects with multiple dependencies.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
