About the opportunity

Role responsibilities:

  • Ensure teams provide high quality responsive accessible clinical services in line with legislation and in the spirit of the Mercy Mission and Values.

  • To develop and maintain high quality, effective, efficient care and deliver services within a pre-determined budget.

  • To engage and liaise with key stakeholders to promote collaboration and partnership in meeting the mental health needs of the community.

  • To keep up to date with trends and developments in Mental Health and foster the development of best practice.

  • Support MMH&WS leadership team in the management and leadership of the overall MMH&WS program through participation in governance, strategic planning, projects & other activities.

  • Support the Reducing Restrictive Interventions (RRI) taskforce.

  • Managerial supervision to ANUMS.

About you:

  • High level of clinical experience

  • Excellent communication skills and effective interpersonal skills.

  • An ability to work autonomously & prioritise workload.

Mandatory qualifications are:

  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with successful completion of a specialist undergraduate psychiatric nursing program or a Post graduate Psychiatric/mental health nursing qualification or equivalence.

  • At least five years mental health nursing experience

  • Previous NUM or ANUM experience

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
