What you’ll bring

  • Strategic awareness and the ability to spot and address the 'change fatigue' across the organisation before it happens.

  • Outcomes focus over process, while certified in Change frameworks like PROSCI/ADKAR, you are pragmatic enough to tailor the approach to suit Mercy and drive the realisation of benefits.

  • Deep experience in Project delivery (10-15 years), in particular workforce systems such as Rostering (preferred), HRIS or Payroll.

Key responsibilities:

EPMO Change Framework

  • collaborate closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders to understand and advise on the implications of the enterprise strategic plan, enabling the successful adoption of strategic changes across the group and support the governance of these.

  • be integral to Transformation, EPMO and Improvement Team and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders in the approach required to successfully plan, deploy and embed organisational initiatives

  • input into Strategic planning and business cases ensuring sufficient effort has been allocated to change and communication activities.

  • line manage, coach and mentor change and project resources, directly and indirectly, across the business, providing leadership and guidance to ensure teamwork and performance is achieved and change is affected and communicated in a timely and efficient way.

  • embed, in partnership with other change and communication resources, the Group Enterprise Change Framework and supporting collateral to deliver enterprise-wide change initiatives from a strategic, operational and tactical perspective. Enabling the management of risk through establishing clear oversight of the volume of change impacting the business at any one time via a Change Heatmap.

  • Further develop Mercy's change methodology to tailor assistance based on the needs of stakeholders, enabling the business to assess the change support required i.e. self-managed, part time change support or full-time change resource, and liaise with key stakeholders to assist them in identifying the best way to effect and embed strategic and/or operational changes.

  • Share in responsibility for achieving expected benefits of transformational change through extensive stakeholder engagement to improve future state organisational structure, business services and service delivery mechanisms, business processes and digital technology solutions.

  • Partner with People, Learning, and Culture teams to improve change capability and maturity within the organisation.

Rostering Project Focus

  • Project leadership – Be a key leader for the Rostering project, building a dedicated change team including change and communication analysts and training team to deliver the people elements of the Project.

  • Change Governance – provide guidance and advice to the Executives on how they can support the successful delivery of the project.

  • Project Change, Communication and Training Strategy: develop the overarching roadmap for the ‘people side’ of the rostering project, building upon the case for change developed as part of the business case.

  • Stakeholder Analysis and Impact Assessment: Proactively identify and address resistance from staff accustomed to manual or legacy systems. Build the change champion network

  • Training Oversight: Develop training approach, including modalities tailored to specific Mercy Health stakeholder cohorts, and competency tracking.

  • Benefits measurement and sustainability: Develop measures to so that Mercy knows that the change has ‘stuck’ including change readiness surveys, adoption metrics and reinforcement approaches. ​
