Primary Function/General Purpose of Position
The Lead Tech Supply Chain maintains inventory and orderliness of supply stock locations. Receives and delivers shipments, supplies, and equipment through site. Reviews and adjusts team assignments. Builds orders for replenishment stock. Delivers and puts away replenishment stock in assigned departments and resolves inventory and purchase order (PO) discrepancies. Leads stock inventories, cycle counts, and conversion tasks. Disinfects, stores, and delivers moveable medical equipment. Maintains inventory, expiration dates, delivery, and design of clinical and specialty carts and trays. Onboards new associates and mentors less experienced associates.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintains inventory and orderliness of assigned medical supply stock locations ensuring stocking locations are adequately stocked with supplies, kept clean and free of dust, and bins and carts are arranged neatly for ease of access and views
- Ensures stock is within expiration dates and rotates stock accordingly; monitors stock usage rates and notifying leader when par levels are inadequate; adjusts teams delivery routes and assignments as necessary
- Replenishes and maintains inventory in perpetual inventory locations; ensures stock is within expiration dates and rotates stock accordingly; monitors stock usage rates and notifies leader when inventory levels are inadequate
- Resolves inventory put-away discrepancies; maintains storeroom to Joint Commisson (TJC), Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) standards
- Researches Purchase Order statuses and resolves perpetual inventory item issues
- Retrieves, cleans, stores, and delivers moveable medical equipment – returning it to ready for use staging
- Analyzes item utilization and corrects Periodic Automatic Replacement (PAR), Reorder Point (ROP), Reorder Quantity (ROQ)
- Participates in and leads cycle counts and periodic inventories at direction of Supervisor, Manager, and Director
- Reconstitutes critical care and specialty carts and trays, ensuring tray contents are within expiration dates; designs new trays and replenishment processes
- Transports equipment, supplies, specimens, and mail to various locations based on customer needs
- Transports medical gases safely between storage locations, maintains medical gas inventories
- Performs as site receiving agent including both PO and non-PO shipments, human tissue processing, receiving discrepancy resolution
- Participates in performance improvement activities at the direction of Supervisor, Manager, and Director
- Onboards new associates and mentors less experienced associates
- Serves as a backup to coordinator and supervisor

College experience (preferred)
Work Experience
1 year of experience in inventory management or supply chain function or Bachelor’s degree (required)
3 years of experience in medical supply chain operations (preferred)
