About the opportunity

We are seeking a Casual/Locum Consultant Physicians to work in our Internal Medicine teams at Werribee Mercy Hospital. The opportunity will include sessions for ward service and support to other services with the hospital. The roles could include General Internal Medicine and Speciality Medicine

Requirements

  • Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Physicians

  • Current AHPRA registration with general and Specialist registration.

  • Excellent clinical skills and practice of evidence based medicine and patient centred care.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well in and contribute to a team fostering supportive, collaborative relationships.

  • Able to enthusiastically commit to the new unit including with participation in unit clinical meetings, quality assurance activities, teaching and supervision of doctors in training and medical students, willingness to participate in clinical research and in the development and execution of innovative programs in delivery of care and clinical training.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.

  • Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
