About the opportunity

At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a catering and hospitality manager, you’ll help create cherished moments and better health outcomes for residents each day.

  • Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents or customers, ensuring that all meals meet dietary requirements and preferences.

  • Adhere to food safety guidelines, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.

  • Set up dining tables, serve meals, and clear plates and utensils after meals to maintain a clean dining environment.

  • Assist individuals who need help eating, ensuring that they are comfortable and properly cared for.

What you’ll bring

You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • Valid food safety handling certificate

  • Prior experience working in food preparation, serving meals, or in a kitchen environment is highly desirable but not always mandatory.

  • Understanding or willingness to learn about specific dietary restrictions and preferences, such as gluten-free, diabetic, vegetarian, or low-sodium diets.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

  • Police Check

  • Valid work rights
